Meet Mr. Derrick Leopold Crooks the man behind the talent of one of Canada's top fashion house in Toronto.

 Mr Crook was born in Jamaican grew up with the passion for clothes and music.  He and his brother Luddy was the original leaders of the reggae band Pioneers and Slickers which dominated the reggae industry in 1962-1967.  He made all clothing for the group then, and had since been a mentor to many through out his career.  He had been sewing for many reggae singers over the years through out Jamaica and world wide.  He specialized in making clothing for men and he is most famous for his extraordinary designs that cannot be copied by any......

Biography of Mr Crooks past life:

 What you may not have known about Mr. Derrick Crooks, the man of many talents.........

Mr. Derrick Crooks born in Jamaica grew up with two brothers and a sister. He spent most of his younger life travelling to many different places with his mother who was a business woman.  He often joked that he had lived in seven of the fourteen parishes in Jamaica, making him the most known Jamiacan alive.....

 

As he grew older he developed the desire for business and started his own record shop selling music for many years.  He also form a music band with his brother Luddy Crooks along with his friend Winston Hewitt named Pioneers which became a very popular reggae group from 1962 - 1967.  When the Pioneers group broke up Mr. Derrick Crooks move to St Thomas and formed another band called Slickers with his friends Winston Bailey and Mr. Roy Beckford.  They travelled through out the USA performing at clubs in Long Island and New York.  The group broke up and he moved to Canada and started his business on Eglinton Ave as a tailor, then open his own clothing store in which he help molded many young talents to stardum today with fahion shows in Windsor and Toronto.

 

Mr. Derrick Crook was also a song writer and co-wrote many songs through our his singing career.  His most famous hit was Johnny Too Bad which is still a big hit through out Europe today.
